Beef Rendang Pie

Sailor’s Beef Rendang Pie is inspired by the famous traditional Malay beef dish, brought to South Africa by the “Cape Malays” in the 17th century. Prime buffalo beef cuts are braised in small batches with 14 aromatic Malay herbs and spices until it reduces to dry curry, resulting in a delicious, tender, and deeply flavourful rendang worthy of its name.
